Description of the NGO
CVM (Comunità Volontari per il Mondo) is an international, volunteering non-profit-making association funded in 1978 by a group of volunteers who returned to Italy after different experiences in Africa and Latin America. CVM, whose head office is located in Ancona, Italy, encourages awareness and sensitization of people towards the problems related to the economic disequilibrium existing between the Northern and Southern hemispheres of the World. At the same time, it promotes concrete development actions and intercultural cooperation projects. Over the past twenty five years, CVM has facilitated the implementation of several projects and has placed 54 volunteers, with an average stay of 3 years, in three African countries and Asia.
