VIS – Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo is an Italian NGO, founded in 1986 and accreditated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to carry out development projects. The NGO works in 26 developing countries and has been registreted as International NGO by the Ethiopian Government since March 2005.
Activities and areas of intervention in Ethiopia
VIS's Headquarter Office in Ethiopia, which is the coordination office for all projects, is located in Addis Ababa. Our activities in the country are focused on implementation of development projects in the field of: literacy, education, vocational training, children sponsorships, water supply & sanitation, teachers updating, women's rights, and food security.
At the present we are working in the following geographic areas: Addis Ababa, Tigray Region, SNNP Region, Oromia Region, Gambela Region and Somali Region.
