The Invisible Children
At Venice, for the 62nd edition of the Biennale del Cinema di Venezia (September 1st 2005 at 10 pm), a project and a film supported by the Italian Development Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, WFP and UNICEF.
The film, created with the special support of the Italian Development Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to contribute in protecting children’s rights, objective that is strongly pursued by the two big UN Agencies beneficiaries of this project: World Food Programme (WFP), and UNICEF. Lights! Camera!... Smile!
ADDIS ABABA - A team of twenty three people from the Italian chapter of “Operation Smile” arrived in Ethiopia on July 11, 2005. The team, composed of facial plastic surgeons, nurses, anesthetists, and physiotherapists, will stay in the country for ten days performing a series of medical procedures at the Mekele Hospital in Tigray. Orphanage Dormitories Open
ADDIS ABABA – On July 12, 2005, an opening ceremony of rehabilitated dormitories at the Kenema orphanage was held. The event was attended by Italian Ambassador, H.E.
