The EU Water Initiative Multi-stakeholders Forum took place in Addis Ababa
The Multi-Stakeholder Forum (MSF) on water supply, sanitation and hygiene was held from 11th to 13th October 2006 in Addis Ababa as part of the Ethiopia Country Dialogue of the European Union Water Initiative (EUWI). The purpose of the Forum was to bring together all sector stakeholders, to reflect on progress in water and sanitation delivery in Ethiopia to date, and to find the means of consolidating and accelerating the achievement of common sector goals. Health Sector 8th Annual Review Meeting
Si è tenuta ad Awassa (Southern Region) dal 2 al 5 ottobre 2006 l’ottava riunione annuale di revisione del programma di sviluppo del settore sanitario etiopico (HSDP). A tale riunione, durata quattro giorni, hanno partecipato più di 300 delegati in rappresentanza del Governo Etiopico, dei donatori, delle agenzie UN, delle istituzioni scientifiche ed accademiche nazionali, del settore privato, delle Ong e della società civile. Micro Finance Institutions in Arsi-Bale Area Receive Material Support
Asella, Oromia – On September 7th, 2006, a handing over ceremony for material goods from Arsi Bale Rural Development Project (ABRDP) to its five longtime partner Micro Finance Institutions was held. Italy Contributes towards Relief Efforts for Flood Victims
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – In response to the Ethiopian Government’s appeal for assistance to curb the consequences of the recent floods on affected populations, the Italian Government announced, on August 28, 2006, a contribution of over 1 million birr (100,000 Euros) to the United Nations’ Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Italy donates a 1 Million Euro for Food Aid
Italy donates a 1 Million Euro grant for Food Aid procurement and distribution in response to the 2006 Humanitarian Appeal for Ethiopia.
ADDIS ABABA – The Government of Italy has made available a grant of 1 million Euro (11.25 million Birr at current exchange rate) in response to the 2006 Humanitarian Appeal for Ethiopia. More >>
