The ongoing Country Program of the Italian Development Cooperation in Ethiopia is designed within the framework of Ethiopian Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP).
Currently Italy is supporting Ethiopia in areas of education, health, HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria, infrastructure, private sector, women and children, rural development & food security, and good governance & capacity building. The overall budget of the Ethio-Italian Country Program amounts to 322.5 million Euros. The total amount of Italian contribution to Ethiopia through bilateral agreements is 313.67 million Euros. The rest, 8.83 million Euros, is disbursed through multilateral channels.
